Questions about UI/UX design

What's the difference between UI and UX?
UX (user experience) is about how people feel and move through a product — whether it's easy to understand and whether they can reach their goal without friction. UI (user interface) is the visual layer — color, typography, layout. The two work together; great UI without clear UX usually still feels confusing.
When should a business start taking UI/UX seriously?
Ideally from the start, before development begins, so flow and design decisions are considered upfront rather than patched on later. But if a product is already live, UI/UX can still be evaluated at any point, usually prompted by signals like high drop-off rates or repeated user feedback.
Does good design automatically improve conversion?
Good design reduces friction and makes a message easier to understand, which can support conversion. But design isn't the only factor — offer clarity, trust, and relevance to audience needs still play a major role.
Is UI/UX design just about making things look nice?
No. Design that looks nice but confuses users can actually hurt a product. The main goal of UI/UX is making a product feel clear and easy to use — aesthetics support that, they aren't the end goal.
